Stone
A slice of Australien Black Jade, almost perfectly clean and black, sitting on a base made from a NZ beach pebble serpentine. The Jade was purchased in Idar-Oberstein, the base was sourced in situ.

Design
The design features three letters in a Graffiti pattern: S-M-E, harmoniously arranged on top of a wave. Swinging movements and sharply tapering tips give it a dramatic flow.

Inspiration
SME was my tag as a graffiti artist which I used for many years. Those days are over now but I decided to give it a monument. It’s perhaps the only SME style on a gemstone to ever exist, so it’s quite a rarity.
