Stone
A Siberian apple green and dark brown Nephrite with a few iron inclusions. This stone is of exceptional good quality. The colours naturally form a sharp contrast within the stone.

Design
A germinating seed, the root on one side screwing itself down towards gravity, a sprouting leaf on the other side, screwing itself up towards the sun, holding on to the chain by curling the tip of the leaf around it.

Inspiration
The Mother Seed is the first seed of all seeds. It grows to a big mother plant that procreates offspring and makes sure the species thrives. It’s a metaphor for the circle of life, depicted in a small stone with a huge message. The metaphor can also be applied to any small or big project in the daily life of a human, because it’s comparable with the decision to make something, to care for it and support its growth until it blooms and starts to give back.
